LOUISIVLLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The University of Louisville has filed a response to Norton's lawsuit and is asking for court ordered mediation.
At issue is the land lease for Kosair which requires the state-owned property be used--in part-- for the benefit of UofL.
The UofL School of Medicine provides 90 percent of inpatient care at Kosair.
Norton says its new partnership with the University of Kentucky will not jeopardize its partnership with UofL.
But UofL says it threatens its teaching mission and revenues.
On Thursday, Jan. 30, Norton says UofL backed out of a deal and is using UK to leverage control of the hospital and get more money from Norton.
