LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Compliance is top of mind for any team favored to go far in the NCAA tournament and this week UofL officials are reminding student athletes, coaches and staff about the rules.

It  forbids sports wagering by coaches, staff and players on any sport they sponsor. Signs have been posted on campus reminding student athletes not to get involved in bracket betting.

“It's just simply one of the things you can't do and to make sure our people are aware of that our compliance staff does a good job of just posting signs just so people are aware of it,” Kenny Klein said.

“They tell us every year, probably twice a year at meetings, that we can't do anything of that nature,” Evan Hibbs, student athlete, said.

UofL basketball star Peyton Siva told reporters at a press conference this week that he and no other players have filled out brackets.
