LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A UPS spokesperson says the company has finished delivering its backlog of holiday packages.
The shipping giant came under fire after some packages were guaranteed to arrive by Christmas became delayed frustrating customers across the country.
As a result, UPS had to call in extra workers to its Worldport here in Louisville to help sort packages for delivery last week.
UPS says a combination of poor weather and an unexpected increase in demand overwhelmed its system and caused the delays.
A company spokesperson also told CNN the backlog of undelivered packages was clear by Friday.
