LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Two men are facing several charges after Louisville Metro Police say they were dealing heroin with a 15-month-old in the backseat.
According to police reports, 27-year-olds Tony Booker and Kevin Lee were arrested for the attempted selling of heroin to undercover narcotics detectives.
When police stopped the pair in the 4700 block of Dixie Highway, officers also noticed strong odors of marijuana emerging from the vehicle.
Police say they were stunned to find Booker’s 15-month-old daughter lying face down in the back seat without a child safety restraint.
Although Booker admitted to having and selling heroin, he said the drugs were fake.
Police recovered a bag of marijuana from the vehicle and cash nearing $900.
Booker and Lee are charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a minor, and possession of marijuana.
Booker’s daughter was released to her mother’s custody.
