LOUISVILLE, Ky, (WHAS11) -- Two Louisville area men and one woman have been arrested after police say they took brass vases from headstones at a local cemetery.
Police say Dixie Madden, Lenord Madden and Christopher Payton are charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Violating Graves. They allegedly removed five brass cases at Bethany Cemetery off Dixie Highway.
Police say they then attempted to sell them at a scrap yard, but were turned away.
Police found the vases in the truck of one of their cars after a traffic stop.
