Trial for officer accusing LMPD of retaliation begins Tuesday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A trial is scheduled to begin Tuesday for a Louisville Metro Police officer who says he was retaliated against for trying to help a woman who may have been wrongly convicted for murder.

Lieutenant Rich Pearson is one of two officers who sued Louisville Metro Government, accusing LMPD of violating the Whistleblower Protection Act.

One of those officers settled for $450,000.
