LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- It's time to apply for the hundreds of temporary jobs available at the Kentucky State Fair.
The Kentucky State Fair is hiring people to fill about 450 positions, including maintenance staff, housekeeping, admission gate workers, tour guides and tram drivers. There are also job openings for after the fair.
The fair board said in a news release that most of the jobs start at $7.25 an hour.
The positions run from Aug. 18-29 at the fair in Louisville.
Applicants must apply in person and be at least 18 years old. The first two days of hiring will be Aug. 9 and 10 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
