LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A portion of Louisville’s Extreme Park downtown will have to be re-built as part of the Ohio River Bridges Project.
About a third of the skate park will have to be knocked down and re-built, to make room for a new Interstate 64 ramp as part of the re-design of Spaghetti Junction.
The rest of the park will remain open during construction.
Work is expected to begin sometime in 2013, and Metro Parks officials hope to have it wrapped up by 2014.
The state of Kentucky is footing the $3.6 million bill.
