OLDHAM COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Oldham County Police Department said Wednesday a juvenile has been charged for shooting at two cars on I-71 last summer.

Charles Fizer was one of the victims.

“Well the first thing I wanted to do was call the detective and thank him,” said Fizer.

According to a police report, police made that arrest after a five month investigation.

That unnamed juvenile has been charged with two counts of Wanton Endangerment, which is a Class D felony. Police say he shot two vehicles in June of 2012 as they traveled North on I-71 near exit 14.

“Based on where the bullet was and where I was sitting, running 70 mph, a tenth of a second sooner it could have been me instead of the back door,”  Fizer said.

No one was hurt in those shootings.

No other details have been released about the arrest due to the nature of the investigation.
