LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – From Louisville to other around the world, Casey Kasem’s voice was etched in the minds of generations of radio listeners.

Kasem, the king of the Top 40 countdown, died Sunday morning in California.

The 82-year-old was famous around the world and here in Louisville, those who work in radio are talking about how Kasem was a pioneer in his industry.
