(WHAS11) - An Elizabethtown teenager is behind bars charged with driving under the influence in a crash that left a Hardin County man dead.
It happened Wednesday night on KY 567 in Hardin County.
Kentucky State Police say 19-year-old Lawrence Mattingly was drunk when he ran off the road, hit a utility pole and overturned in a field.
29-year-old Brandon Carter was killed in the crash.
Mattingly and a female passenger received minor injuries.
Mattingly is in the Hardin County jail charged with DUI and manslaughter.
