Seymour, Ind. (WHAS) – Friends and family of a Seymour teen who was killed when the car she was riding in crashed into the White River will gather Monday to say goodbye.
Visitation for 16-year-old Brooke Hawn will be held Monday night at the Johnson Funeral Home in Vallonia, Ind.
Hawn was killed Wednesday night in a crash near Shieldstown.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said excessive speed and reckless driving caused 18-year old Tyler Ross to crash his car into the White River. He and another 19-year-old passenger were able to get out, but Hawn was found dead inside the car.
Ross has been arrested and charged with reckless homicide.
Hawn’s funeral is scheduled to take place Tuesday afternoon.
