LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Transit Authority of River City is investing $30 million into public transportation including $20 million from the Ohio River Bridges Project.

TARC revealed their new “Commuter Coaches” Monday afternoon.

Part of the plan is to create a modernized fleet to cross the new bridge once it’s complete.

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer was at the announcement and also revealed a new crosswalk now open on River Road near Tumbleweed across from the Big Four Bridge.

It’s to make pedestrians safe on the busy stretch starting with a flashing yellow signal, then solid yellow that turns red for motorists.
