(WHAS11) – According to a National Retail Federation survey, consumers will spend an all time high this year, dishing out about $11billion nationwide on game-related food, clothing and other merchandise for the Super Bowl.

No matter where you go, Super Bowl fever has a rippling affect across the United States. Businesses everywhere are ready to cash in on the fans willing to spend the money.

“We're going to the Super Bowl,” says Michael Coulston. “We're from New York. It’s our fifth Super Bowl together and we're excited about it.”

Coulston is staying at the Sheraton Hotel in Jeffersonville, IN.  That is 112 miles away from Indianapolis, but Coulston says it is saving him money.

Managers at the hotel say 150 out of their total 180 rooms are booked with Super Bowl fans, which is a bigger outcome than they expected.

But, of course not everybody is heading to the game.

“I got some friends coming over to watch the game,” said Craig Duncan of Louisville. “I have a nice 50 inch [TV]. Get a couple beers in. Win a couple bets and try and get some money.”

At Spinelli's Pizzeria Sunday, they are anticipating a large jump in deliveries and revenue.

“Compared to a normal Sunday we're looking at a 45-50% jump [in revenue],” says Chris Palma, the general manager at Spinelli’s on Baxter Ave. “Our deliveries are going to be up about 60% on day like today. [It] is one of those days that the driver is going to be on the road all day long.”

They are predicting to cook about 1,000 pizzas.

Over at Fox and Hound Pub & Grille in St. Matthews, they expect about the same increase in revenue.

“I would say we would probably have closer to 50% increase in revenue for such a big game,” says Caitlin Wheeler with the Fox & Hound.
