LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Kentucky Kingdom Redevelopment Company, headed by Louisville businessman Ed Hart, will sit down with the state next week to discuss their proposal to reopen the amusement park.
Ed Hart is the president and on Tuesday on he told WHAS11 he had not yet heard a word from the state. Now the Kentucky finance and administration cabinet wants to sit down with KKRC to discuss their plan to reopen the park.
It includes an investment of $50 million up front and $70 million more over the next 50 years to open the park and keep it updated.
Hart says he will not comment on the negotiations while they are underway.
