(WHAS 11)--The Jefferson County Attorney's Office has found no wrongdoing in the county clerk's office after an investigation.
It comes after an audit by the state that questioned how some money was spent.
Jefferson County Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw requested a review from the attorney's office after a state audit questioned a lack of safeguards in place for a charitable fund and some gifts for staff members like gas cards and Christmas bonuses. No illegal activity was found but the clerk's office asked for another review.
The County Attorney's office announced that no further action is warranted.
