(WHAS11) -- A federal grand jury formally indicted charity founder Stan Curtis Wednesday on seven charges. Curtis is accused of stealing nearly $200,000 from USA Harvest and also charging personal expenses.
Curtis appeared disoriented and sick in federal court in December and his arraignment was postponed.
His wife, Jeannie, posted on Facebook Wednesday that he has been in the hospital and nursing homes since December. She also says he has been diagnosed with a brain confusion disorder, due to extreme malnutrition. She says he is in the brain injury program at Louisville's Christopher East. She does not know the outcome of the diagnosis.
