LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The decision if USA Harvest Founder Stan Curtis is competent to stand trial should come down next week.
Curtis was seen leaving the Federal Courthouse walking on his own Friday morning after his hearing.
He was charged with money laundering a year ago, but has yet to stand trial after a number of health problems, including kidney failure, weight loss and at one point, he was in a coma.
Today, the U.S. Attorney's Office called a doctor to testify.
The doctor determined Curtis has shown improvement and could be fit to stand trial.
Curtis' attorney said his client is ready to move forward and enter a plea.
