LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Spalding president Tori Murden-McClure announced that the school has purchased the Cosmopolitan Building on South Third Street.

The 40,000 square foot building will be named the Republic Bank Academic Center.

Republic Bank donated money for Spalding to renovate the building to include 40 facility offices, 6 instructional labs, 5 classrooms and a large lecture hall.

Spalding’s enrollment reached an all-time high of more than 2500 students last fall, a 46 percent growth over the past 5 years.
