JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) – The WHAS Crusade for Children is getting a helping hand from a local barbershop.

On Wednesday, May 29, the barbers at Goodfella’s Men’s Barber and Styling Shop will be donating money made from haircuts to the Crusade.

The shop says they will also have a cookout with free hamburgers and hot dogs.

Shop owner Wesley Johnson says it’s a cause close to his heart because he remembers growing up and watching the Crusade telethon with his grandfather.

“Seeing the community come together and being able to be part of that; to help out the smallest percentage, it’s just really a good feeling,” he said.

Goodfella’s Barber Shop is on Middle Road in Jeffersonville.

Their operating hours will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The cookout will start around noon. Everyone is invited.
