LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- School is out and summer is a time when teenagers need to stay busy.
We headed to Shelbyville, where the Louisville Office of Big Brothers/Big Sisters has strong roots and we met one sharp 13-year-old.
Devaughn Raisor of Shelbyville had an interesting reaction when he learned he was heading to the Big Brothers Program, matched with Chester Rice and Chester's wife, Kym.
Chester's wife is a Shelbyville Middle School principal and the Rice's also know Devaughn's family.
Devaughn has been matched with Chester and Kym for two years. He tells other teenagers his age that they would like the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
He said his match with Chester is great and he has a great time. "I wouldn't change a thing," he said.
Chester told us he gets a big kick of out of the styles sported by kids Devaughn's.
WHAS11 shot this story at the Arby's in Shelbyville. Locally, Arby's is a huge supporter of BBBS and turns over a lot of money each year to keep the program going.
Whas11 is celebrating our silver anniversary with BBBS. 25 years of bringing you these amazing matches.
