LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- Two Kentucky leaders, both vying for the same seat in the nation’s Senate, both released advertisements today focusing on the other.
Mitch McConnell, a Republican and current Senator, released a radio ad that blamed Democrats for the ongoing shutdown. The ad pledged to donate McConnell’s Senate salary to charity until the dispute is resolved.
Democratic challenger, Kentucky Secretary of State, Alison Lundergan-Grimes, released a television ad urging Kentucky voters to contact Sen. McConnell and ask him to end the government shutdown.
