Louisville, Ky. (WHAS) – The Salvation Army has kicked of the holiday season with their annual Red Kettle campaign in Louisville.

The Salvation Army has 34 locations for bell ringers this year across Louisville – including Kroger and Wal-Mart stores, Jefferson Mall and Dunkin Donuts on Bardstown Road.

Organizers are hoping to raise $300,000 to 400,000 for Kentuckiana families in need. Donations will be collected through Christmas Eve.

Volunteers for bell ringers are being sought by the non-profit. For more information, call (502) 671-4934.
