LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A SWAT situation Wednesday afternoon has left a man facing attempted murder and wanton endangerment charges.
Police were called out the 8500 block after receiving reports from neighbor about a man firing shots inside a home.
When officers arrived at the home, they said the suspect, Dennis Hill, held them at bay for hours and he even fired a shot at officers.
No one was injured and Hill later exited the home peacefully.
Hill was taken into custody and is charged with two counts of attempted murder of a police officer and one count of wanton endangerment.
Investigators said they do not believe anyone else was inside with Hill, but said they did receive a call from him around 6:30 a.m. and they believe he was a victim of a home invasion.
