CLARK CO., Ind. (WHAS11) -- Drivers in Southern Indiana faced yet another day of treacherous driving conditions.
Chris Beck stopped to get gas at a Sellersburg Circle K.
“It’s probably pretty tough to get around if you don’t have four-wheel drive; looks like everybody’s being pretty smart. Haven’t seen any accidents yet,” Beck said.
Lt. Col. Brian Meyer of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said, “We had the ice that came in first. We’ve got a thin layer of ice under about two inches of snow.”
Some vehicles faced stretches of interstate with lanes completely covered, plows not far behind.
Meyer advised drivers to slow down and take necessary precautions.
Off the road, Indiana residents were shoveling sidewalks, parking lots and driveways.
Beck said he’s “ready for it to be over with; ready to get some springtime going.”
