Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - New Albany Fire and Louisville Fire and Rescue are continuing the search for a missing fisherman in the Ohio River, near the New Albany Boat Ramp.
They believe a fisherman, 37-year-old Richard Hovis, went overboard off of a boat and are searching the river for him.
According to Sgt. Sal Melendez with Louisville Fire and Rescue, there were three men fishing and one man fell overboard into the river.
The other two men reportedly said the man has some kind of medical condition and they think that's what caused him to fall overboard.
A WHAS11 Photojournalist spoke to the father of the man who fell overboard and he says that the man suffers from seizures.
WHAS11's Mike Colombo spoke to the mother of the missing fisherman and said her son had had seizures in the past but had not suffered from one in a long time.
He was not wearing a life vest when he fell overboard.
