LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A string of fires in less than three years baffles residents at the Park at Hurstbourne apartment complex.

The fires are causing concern among residents leading many to question their lease renewals.

Early Monday morning four fire crews worked to put out a fire in an exercise room and luckily, there were no injuries.

Residents say they experience a lot of electrical issues often seeing sparks when they plug items into their outlets.

An August 2012 fire, caused by an electrical spark, displaced residents of 36 apartments after massive flames spread from one building to another.

Just this past January, another fire forced 28 units to be evacuated.

Residents say the property management has been working to address their fears and are working to fix existing electrical issues.

It’s unclear as to when all 690 units will be fixed.
