LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)--  What was originally thought to be a suspicious item resembling dynamite near The Brown School has turned out to be a prop for the school.

MetroSafe originally reported a caller had seen an alleged bundle of explosives near the Ahrens Building next to The Brown School in downtown Louisville at approximately 6:30 p.m.

According to MetroSafe, the bomb squad determined the item was not harmful.  It was not exploded by the bomb squad.

The building was evacuated, even though classes were already finished for the day.
