(WHAS11) -- Three repo men charged with impersonating an officer were found not guilty in a Louisville court last week.

Now the men say they are suing LMPD for damages.

Charles Mullins and two of his employees went to repo a woman’s car last September.

The woman had outstanding warrants but when LMPD got to her house they arrested the three men.  The woman says Mullins and his employees told her they were officers and were going to arrest her.

Mullins says since the arrest he has lost a lot of business from car lots and banks. Mullins attorney says he will file the law suit against LMPD within the next 30 days.
