LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A week after a Louisville mother is found shot to death in an alley, rapper Master P is helping raise awareness about the case.

“We’re making sure Andrea can smile down on her kids. I’m begging the community to come together and find out who did this,” he said.

26-year-old Andrea Arnold’s body was found near Algonquin Park on November 30.

Since her death, her family has been struggling to raise Arnold’s three children. Master P announced during the press conference that he’s contributing money to help her family pay for funeral expenses.

The rapper, known for his charitable work in Louisville, is also holding a concert to benefit the Arnold family on December 15 at the Gillespie on Market Street.

It’s a small measure of comfort for the family who had to explain to Arnold’s 9-year-old daughter what happened.

“I have to see her every day. I have to try to be strong for her,” Arnold’s sister Tonisha said.

There have been arrests in this case.

If you have any information, you are asked to call Louisville Metro Police at 574-LMPD.
