LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) — The ramp on the Kennedy interchange that carries traffic from I-65 South to I-64 has reopened according to a spokesperson for the Ohio River Bridges Project.
Walsh Construction began completing repairs after the discovery of broken concrete in the pier column Friday evening.
“Safety is always our top priority,” said Andy Barber, KYTC Downtown Crossing project manager. “That’s why our team will be inspecting all piers in the Kennedy Interchange in the coming weeks.”
The ramp reopened to traffic around 6 p.m.
