LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- An ordinance that would remove criminal history from city job applications is getting some backing from several community organizations.
A rally to Ban the Box will be held on March 13 ahead of a vote on the issue from Louisville’s Metro Council.
If passed, the city would no longer have a box on its applications asking about criminal history. However, questions about it could be asked during the interview process.
Those for it say it gives everyone a fair shot at gainful employment.
