LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- No public funeral arrangements have been announced for Blaine Hudson the former dean of UofL's College of Arts and Sciences.
Hudson died Saturday at the age of 63.
His obituary says that Hudson’s family will gather to remember him but no details are being released to the public.
Those wishing to honor his passion for history can do so by contributing to the University of Louisville’s Pan-African Studies Department.
Hudson left his position as dean of Arts and Sciences in August after having cranial surgery.
He was also chosen to lead Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer's Violence Prevention Work Group.
Hudson co-authored the book "Two Centuries of Black Louisville."
