ATLANTA, Ga. (WHAS11) -- Russ Smith and Peyton Siva's dads met up with Adam Lefkoe to talk about how special it is to have sons making history.
Smith Sr. said that sometimes he meets Siva Sr. in the hallway and says, "my son needs your son and your son needs my son and we need them to ball out and just take it to the next level."
Peyton's dad agreed. "When you come together, that's what it's all about."
The dads did toot their own horns, saying that their sons' gifts came from their heart and their DNA. Smith Sr. said, "it's all about where you come from."
On the note of how they'll react if the team wins the national championship, Smith Sr. said, "I'm gonna lose my mind like losing Isaiah" while Siva took a look inward, saying "I'm gonna first give glory to the man above because he's responsible for it all."
Based upon their sons' play, maybe the apples didn't fall too far from those trees.
