(WHAS11) -- The prosecutor who headed a probe against former Governor Ernie Fletcher is ending a 19 year career with the attorney general’s office.
Assistant Attorney General Scott Crawford Sutherland says he plans to go into private practice in Nashville.
He is leaving the job on Jan. 31.
Sutherland worked with a special grand jury that looked into allegations the Fletcher administration had violated state law by rewarding political supporters with government jobs.
Fletcher lost his bid for re-election in 2007 shortly after the allegations.
