LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – LG&E volunteers helped prepare area homes for winter as part of the 23rd annual Project Warm Blitz.
The “Blitz” helps low-income, elderly and disabled people in our community weatherize their homes in simple ways like putting plastic over windows.
This keeps cold air from coming inside which leads to savings on residents’ winter energy bills.
By the end of next weekend, 250 homes will be weatherized through Project Blitz.
There will be volunteers working to prepare area homes on Saturday, November 16.
