LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Those who frequent bars and restaurants in the Highlands may notice a familiar staple missing.
Baxter Station Bar and Grill on Payne Street is closed.
For sale signs were seen hanging in the 22-year-old restaurant.
Earlier this month, the Commonwealth of Kentucky closed the restaurant for unpaid taxes.
Last month, the Department of Public Health shut down the restaurant for three days after it received three “C” health inspection grades.
The owner, Andrew Hutto, was one of the leaders who led the charge in getting earlier alcohol sales on Sundays which Mayor Greg Fischer signed into law back in April.
Hutto could not be reached for comment.
