Police hope husband can shed light on shooting death of Shively woman

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police said they want to talk to the husband of a Shively woman after she was found shot multiple times in the backyard of the their home Thursday night.

The coroner said 48-year-old Gloria Ross died from injuries sustained from several gun shot wounds. She was found lying in the back yard of her home on the 3300 block of Fernheather Drive when family members went to check on her.

Now those family members, as well as friends, are at the home Ross shared with her husband and one of her children to grieve the loss of their loved one.

Detectives remained at the scene Friday morning where they gathered evidence. Police have yet to name any suspects and have not made any arrests, but they do want to talk to Ross' husband who is nowhere to be found.
