BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Bardstown police are turning to Facebook in an effort to entice people to come forward with information about the killing of officer Jason Ellis who was ambushed and shot while removing tree limbs from the roadway.

The picture is of a tropical island and reads "need a vacation, want a fresh start all it takes it a 30 second conversation."

The Facebook post on the police department's page goes on to ask for tips for officer Ellis' killer and lists a reward of $125,000.

Police are using any tactic in hopes of solving this case.
