BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A former Breckinridge County sheriff has been found alive and is expected to be OK after he went missing last Thursday.

Law enforcement officials were called in last week after 89-year-old Robert E. "Bobby" Haynes went missing near his home around 3:30 p.m.

Officials said Haynes was found Monday in his pick up truck in a wooded area on an adjoining farm.

Police said Haynes is resting at a local hospital and is in good condition considering the length of time he was missing.  Haynes is expected to be OK.
