LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A woman has been arrested in a violent home invasion in Louisville-- where a 60-year-old woman was seriously hurt.
23-year-old Danielle Gastinger was arraigned Thursday morning on charges of robbery, burglary and fraudulent use of a credit card.
Gastinger and a juvenile are accused of forcing their way into a home on Elm Lake Drive in Fern Creek in February where police say they sprayed mace in the face of a 60-year-old woman and threw her to the ground.
After taking several items from the home, police say the teenager kicked the woman breaking four of her ribs.
“This was pretty much a snatch and grab type situation that was violent as well,” Dwight Mitchell, with the Louisville Metro Police Department, said.
Police were able to arrest the suspects after they allegedly used the victim's stolen credit cards at a liquor store and gas station.
Gastinger does have a criminal background that includes charges for drugs, assault and robbery.
