SELLERSBURG, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A Sellersburg Ind. woman is facing charges after police say she made up a story about being kidnapped and held at gunpoint.

Rebecca Beckett is charged with fraud and false informing.

In January she told detectives that a man jumped in her car, held her and her young child at gunpoint, demanded they go to an ATM and take out cash.

Authorities quickly learned that wasn't true.

Authorities say Beckett got a hold of a relative’s bank card and pin number and made up the story to try and cover their tracks.
