LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville mother was arrested Thursday evening after police said she was drunk when she caused an accident that injured 5 people, including her children.
Police said Tiffany Banules admitted to drinking a bottle of wine prior to causing an accident on Standiford Plaza Drive. She reportedly crossed the center lane and hit another car.
According to court records, Banules' BAC was .267 when she was arrested and this is her second offense.
Five people were transported to the hospital following the accident, including two of Banules' children. Police said Banules also admitted to being six months pregnant.
Police did not comment on how serious the injuries were.
Banules is charged with driving under the influence.
