Police: Nursing home employee hits resident with reaching stick

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville nursing home employee is facing charges Wednesday after police say he hit a resident with a reaching stick.

Carnell McClarin-Summers, 32, was arrested early Wednesday morning.

Police say he was employed at the facility through an outside agency and while working there, the victim says he hit her right arm.

The victim suffered bruising.

The case was reported to adult protective services who called Metro Police.
