LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police have arrested a man after they say he threw a party at a home involving drugs and alcohol while he was supposed to be caring for his 4-year-old brother at the time.

According to police, Yardsolav Ivanov was arrested early Saturday morning at a home in the 3200 block of Broeck Pointe Circle in Louisville. Police say when they got to the home, they found several minors drinking alcohol and discovered marijuana in the home.

Police say Ivanov would not tell police his name, saying 'he could not be arrested' because he was leaving for school in Poland soon.

Ivanov was charged with Unlawful Transaction with a Minor, Resiting Arrest, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor and Disorderly Conduct.

Police say he told them he will not able to attend his court date because he is moving to Poland for college this week.
