LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police are looking for the person responsible for killing a man in the West End of Louisville around midnight on Tuesday.
“This is out of the ordinary, “said Joe Furman, who lives near where the man was found. “ This is crazy.”
Police taped off the area in front of Vermont Liquors where the man was found shot near Louis Coleman Drive and Vermont Avenue.
The victim has been identified as Dana Maurice Loud, 49, who was pronounced dead at University. The coroner says the victim died of multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and extremities.
Investigators say they have very little leads and need the public’s help finding the victims killer.
“We don’t know exactly what happened at this time,” said Louisville Metro police spokesman Dwight Mitchell. “Our detectives are canvassing the neighborhood for potential witnesses.”
