LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The man who police said fatally shot his son-in-law in Nelson County Wednesday night has been questioned and released by police.
According to Nelson County authorities, Randy Arnold, 24, died after being shot by Vernon Arnold around 8:00 Wednesday night.
The circumstances that led to the shooting were not stated in the statement, but police have released Vernon Arnold from custody under the Castle Doctrine.
The Castle Doctrine allows for a person to protect himself in their home.
