LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police arrested a man on charges of assault and wanton endangerment after they say he attacked a woman.

Officers were called to the scene of a domestic incident. According to a police report, the victim told officers that she and Marcus McGinnis, 22, were involved in an altercation that turned violent.

The police report says McGinnis grabbed the victim and bit her on the chin. McGinnis then chocked the victim with both hands while holding her against the wall, according to the police report.

The report goes on to say McGinnis kicked the victim several times and hit her using a vacuum cleaner like a baseball bat.

According to the police report, the victim had a bleeding bite mark on her chin, several bruised areas and a raised bite mark with broken skin on her left shoulder. The victim complained of pain in her ribs and shoulder.

The police report says McGinnis made several threatening statements to the victim while in custody.

McGinnis has been charged with fourth degree assault and first degree wanton endangerment.
