LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Hall of Fame Basketball Coach Rick Pitino is rolling out his new motivational book just one of many he's written.

Thursday night is his first public signing of the book in Louisville; he told WHAS11 news that his family says this is his best book yet.

It's called “The One Day Contract." He appeared at Molly Malone's in St. Matthews.

In the book, Pitino explains how he's been living his life on a one day contract and it started about a year ago.

In the book he talks directly about the controversies in his life and why telling the truth has always made the difference. As he states, “own up to your problems and they become a part of your past." He also says we spend way too much time on social media, texting and tweeting, instead of talking to each other.

He also lets fans in on the amazing successes he just lived through, starting with UofL's third NCAA Championship last spring.

Rick Pitino's book signing continues this weekend. You can find him: this Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Barnes and Noble in the Paddock Shops, formerly called The Summit.
