Louisville, Ky. - The Taco Bell Foundation for Teens partnered with local Boys & Girls Clubs and Taco Bell restaurant owners in 11 cities across the country to host business and college camps to inspire teens to graduate from high school and reach their full potential.

The Graduate to Go Business Camp was a two-day, overnight competition where teens work in teams to develop business plans and compete for micro-loans to start-up their companies.

Teens have the opportunity to interact with entrepreneurs and participate in workshops on business etiquette, marketing, finance, operations and presentation skills.

As part of the camp, teens received entrepreneur training prior to attending and then also continue their work following the two-day experience.

The camp is funded by the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens and its local Taco Bell restaurant owners. In Louisville, the camp will be held on July 27-28 and is supported by X Taco Bell restaurants throughout the area.

Taco Bell awarded the top three winners with cash prizes for their businesses: 1st prize, $2,500; 2nd prize; $1,500 and 3rd prize, $1,000.

Five Boys & Girls Clubs will participated:  Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana, Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Louisville, Boys & Girls Club of Harrison County, Boys & Girls Club of Seymour, Lide White Memorial Boys & Girls Club.  Mayor Jerry Abramson and other community, business leaders HSGameTime Reporter Joann Dickson and HSGameTime Mascot Pom Pom participated in the two-day event.
